Apply a uniform, thin coat using a high quality, clean polyester or natural bristle brush. Two coats are recommended. Brush in even strokes in the direction of the wood grain. Allow the first coat to dry 1 hour and sand lightly with fine sandpaper to remove any grain raise. Remove all sanding dust before applying the second coat. Allow to dry 1 hour before topcoating, if desired. For maximum durability, finish with one or two coats of Cabot® Oil-Based Varnish or Polyurethane, following the label instructions.
